Is binary options trading legal in Azerbaijan?
There is no law in Azerbaijan that bans individuals from trading binary options, but that is not the same as approval. In August 2026 the central bank warned citizens against foreign investment platforms that lack a local licence. It stated that a foreign licence does not permit offering services in Azerbaijan.
What this means for you: if something goes wrong with an offshore broker, the regulator in Azerbaijan will not help you recover money, and banks may block or question payments to these platforms. Start with the demo account, deposit only small amounts and keep records of every payment.
