Social investing tools extended to options
eToro added its social features, such as sharing and following trades, to options trading for eligible users.
Key points
- eToro's social features now cover options
- Available to eligible users
- Understand expiry and strike before following an options trade
eToro has added its social features, such as sharing and following trades, to options trading for eligible users.
Social features have been eToro's main difference from other brokers since CopyTrader; extending them to options brings that model to a riskier product.
Seeing what other people trade is not a substitute for understanding options. Copying an options trade without knowing its expiry and strike can lose the full premium quickly.

CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Each broker publishes its own current loss percentage on its website.
